Air mist cone spray nozzle Billetcooler FLEX®

The Billetcooler FLEX® enables an improved
strand quality through optimized cooling.
The air mist nozzle guarantees a stable
spray angle independently of the current
pressure over the entire turn-down ratio,
thereby ensuring optimum cooling.
Thanks to the stable spray angle,
the water distribution can be adjusted
to the individual format whereby the
defining variables are water and air pressure.
Both of these variables can be adapted dynamically during operation.

Benefits

  • Stable spray angle over the entire turn down range
  • Flexible cooling as water distribution can be individually adjusted for different formats
  • Blockage-resistant and maintenance-friendly thanks to very large free cross-sections
  • New design with a forged, space- and weight-saving nozzle body
  • Lower air consumption thanks to the new nozzle design
  • Low noise emissions

Applications

  • Continuous Casting of Steel
